Mr Richard Hoon is the founder and CEO of I Search Worldwide and has been a C-Suite search practitioner for over two decades. He was the Managing Director of Asia for an international executive search franchise and was the General Manager of International SOS. He has held senior and regional roles with companies such as American Express, Tourism Victoria and Pall Corporation.
A mechanical engineer by training, he has a diversified corporate experience ranging from the oil and gas industries, electronics, pharmaceuticals, tourism, retail, aviation, financial services, insurance and the healthcare services sectors.
Richard was awarded the Most Outstanding MBA of the Year at the Florida State University and is listed in the Who's Who amongst students in American Universities and Colleges, the International Who's Who of Professionals and the Who's Who in Singapore.
He was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honour Society and the Beta Gamma Sigma National Business Scholastic Honour Society in the USA and was a Gold Key Hall of Fame Awardee at his university. He is listed as a prominent Victorian from his high school alma mater.
He was the former Regional Chairman of the Young President's Organization (YPO), South East Asia and was the former Chairman of YPO Singapore; a founder and former President of the Young Entrepreneur's Organization, Singapore and the first Asian President of the MBA Association at the Florida State University. He was a member of the Board of Advisors for the College of Business at the Florida State University for over a decade and former member of the global board of YPO International.
Richard is the current Chairman of the Centre for Fathering & Dads-for-Life, a registered charity and IPC in Singapore. He is a co-founder and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Validus, a fintech company that has received series A funding from a major financial institution. He is the President of the Circumnavigators’ Club and the President of the Palm Island Club. He is also a fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
